Intro to 16th note strumming
Now we’re moving into 16th note strumming. Instead of dividing each beat into two parts like 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +, we now divide each beat into four equal parts:
1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a
How it Works
The key is to think of each beat as a group of four small pulses. Rather than trying to rush through the count, keep the motion steady and feel how the four subdivisions fit evenly inside each beat.
As we work through this section, focus on:
Staying relaxed as the rhythms become more detailed
Keeping your strumming hand moving evenly
Getting comfortable counting 1 e + a
Feeling each beat as a clear group of four
